About the Drive
For Ashland
Three Clubs. Seventy-two holes. Twenty-four hours.
During The Drive for Ashland, Trustee and Alumnus, Fred Broad '75 played 72 holes of golf in one day. Along the way, he had one-on-one conversations with fellow donors, current and former students who have directly benefited from our community’s generosity, and other guests who continue to be instrumental in Ashland’s ability to deliver on its promises.
The Drive for Ashland is a unique opportunity to help us close out The Campaign for Every Individual.
Throughout this initiative the Eagle community has joined together like never before to share the stories that define our individual success. Stories telling the history of the university and its mission in ways we rarely get to experience together. Stories showing, once again, how our collective generosity can create life-changing opportunities for current and future generations of Ashland students.
For every hole played, Fred donated $1,000 to the university in our ongoing effort to reach $100 million in total gifts before our comprehensive campaign ends this autumn. Along with experiencing the stories shared throughout the day, you'll have the chance to pay it forward toward two critical needs.
First, your gifts will sustain existing initiatives that directly impact our students. And second, your generosity will support the new opportunities that have arisen from within our community over the last few years of this campaign.
Every gift given continues to go directly to enhancing the student experience at Ashland. We’ve done amazing things together. Let’s finish with a final drive, straight and true and right on the mark.

Hole-in-One - The Top 10 Donors will be invited to dinner with Dr. and Mrs. Campo

U.S. Open Victory - The Top 3 Donors (or a designee of their choice) will receive an invitation to play with Fred Broad at Oakmont Country Club. Oakmont has hosted more national championships than any other venue in the country and will be hosting the United States Open in 2025.
