Amanda Framsted (Largent)

Alumna

Class of 2011, 2016

Ashland University was my home away from home. As an athlete, member of FCA and education major, I grew in my faith with friendships that molded me into the woman I am today. Now I am an assistant principal at a school in the county I grew up in. I’ll never forget when Professor Eibel pulled me aside after my first education course and told me “I had it.” From then on, I worked hard to be the best teacher, surrounding myself with professors like Dr. Kommer and Dr. Knickerbocker. They became friends and sounding boards to my dreams of impacting the world through public education. I student taught in the beginning years of the Southern Internship Program in Charleston, SC. I spent one college summer teaching in Vietnam. After two years of teaching, I decided to return to Ashland to earn my Masters degree in administration. My investment in Ashland University has equipped me in infinite ways!
