I found Ashland University through the marching band, but was really sold when I learned about the Ashbrook Center, which you can’t find anywhere else. Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to help people. Also, I really like kids, and I love watching their faces at the moment they realize, “Oh, that’s how things work!” So I’ve always known I wanted to teach. I love the size of this place, the camaraderie and connections you can build without getting lost in the crowd. I hope to inspire the kids I teach in the future in the same way the professors here inspire me. It’s like Dr. McBrayer said the other day: we’re here to expand our horizons and learn more about ourselves and our peers.
