I have so many wonderful memories of Ashland. Some of my memories center around the pool. The summer before entering Ashland as a freshman, I became a Water Safety Instructor. Coach Sandy Wilson hired me to be a lifeguard. Coach Wilson also had me teach swimming and life-saving. When I was taking Adaptive PE, we were able to bring kids with special needs to the pool. When I was planning Greek Week activities, I was able to add aquatic events to Greet Week. I enjoyed being very involved in campus activities, such as Panhellenic Council, Appellate Board, RHA, Student Senate and Homecoming/Parent Weekend Committee. My involvement in student activities led to a position being created for me as an admissions representative. I had a job where I could talk about my love for Ashland with guidance counselors and prospective students! These are just a few memories. I will always “Remember Old Ashland College.”
