My story of Ashland is one of four friends—Joe, Dan, Bruce and myself. We connected our freshman year and the friendship, the bond, just grew from there. Now, forty years later, we still make it a point to get together—two, three, even four times a year. We might go up to Vermillion, or to Dayton, or meet in Ashland and go to a football game in the fall or a baseball game in the spring. It’s a tradition to always wear our Ashland gear when we meet up and smoke a cigar to celebrate the fact that we’re all still here together!
