I decided to come to Ashland because my mom was a student here in the early nineties and my sister came here before me. I loved the idea of that tradition, and, when I have kids and they’re looking for a college, I want them to have the same great experiences here at Ashland that I’ve had. As a freshman, I found what I want to do for the rest of my life that first weekend. Fraternity life had never been in my plans, but after a friend of mine convinced me to attend a Fraternity interest night, I found a real community. After rushing Phi Psi, I made an instant bond with some of the guys who introduced me to the radio station and AU TV 20. That love of film and journalism has set me on the path I’m currently walking. The stereotypes about Fraternity life just don’t apply here at Ashland. It’s about friendship and making those connections that last a lifetime. In thirty years, my brothers and I will come back to campus, and we won’t have missed a beat. We’ll simply pick up where we left off.
