The first time I met Mrs. Betty Whitted, she told me that, at the age of 43, I could get a degree. She also told me that she would help me every step of the way. In that moment, I knew I was going to be a graduate of Ashland University. And…she honored her word. She was there so many times when I wanted to quit because of being a single mom with two children.
