I have been blessed by many life-changing opportunities at Ashland University. One of my greatest privileges and achievements happened during the fall of 2018. I was asked to be a speaker at Founder’s Dinner to the donors, friends, students, and faculty of AU.
There are many reasons why I consider this particular Founder’s Dinner as one of my favorite memories. Through my involvement with the Annual Giving team as a student representative, I consider myself lucky to be able to connect with current and previous students and hear their stories. Founder’s Dinner 2018 was like a cherry on top to the work I have done. I finally had the opportunity to tell my story to the very same people I have listened to for years. Additionally, I was invited to speak alongside my closest mentor and professor, Dr. Christopher Chartier, who has helped me realize where my passions lie. Finally, as my invited guest, my wonderful girlfriend, Sydney, was able to share this experience with me. Meeting her on campus is yet another reason I am so thankful for my time at Ashland.
The dinner meant so much to me because it was the culmination of everything that contributed to my growth over the last four years. I am very grateful to my family, friends, peers, professors and other faculty at Ashland University for the memories I will cherish forever. I am indebted to everyone who has helped me realize my passions and happiness.
