I was part of the first Isaiah Project team that served in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was really special to bond with a group of people that shared similar beliefs and to be able to work with youth who came from difficult backgrounds. I was also able to serve alongside my now husband, and I am grateful that AU gave us the opportunity to do so. Because of AU, I was able to have an experience overseas and learn from people who had different backgrounds than me. I went on to work with at-risk youth for many years and am a teacher today.
