I grew up on the corner of Grant and Samaritan on land that’s now part of AU’s campus. I remember watching the college students through the window thinking about how I wanted to be in their shoes someday. I used to play on the Quad and spent a ton of my childhood running through the campus. Then I went to AU, graduated and got a job in Student Affairs. I’ve had a special connection with the university my whole life, and I’ve gone through a lot of different stages of involvement. I’ve transitioned from being a kid to a student to a leader here. And it’s amazing to know that I’m helping the next generation of students through that same kind of process: from kid to student, from student to leader. It’s incredible!
