Annual Giving
Your support matters. Thanks to the gifts of generous people like you, our students share in this unforgettable experience.
Through your support, Ashland shapes students into the kind of graduates who have an impact wherever they go next.

Unrestricted financial support enables Ashland to act nimbly and decisively in moments when doing so matters most to our students. Alternatively, your support can be directed specifically to areas you are passionate about such as Student Scholarships and Student Activities.

Ashland Fund
Ashland Fund
Giving to any area of the University is enormously beneficial to sustaining and strengthening our legacy. But, giving to the Ashland Fund carries with it even more significance.
Our most loyal, faithful and dedicated donors give unrestricted gifts to the Ashland Fund because they understand how important it is to our mission.
Every year, Ashland Fund donors support promising students, enhance the performance of the fine arts, improve conditions for our athletes and enrich the classroom experiences for our future nurses, executives, teachers and communicators. These resources require annual replenishment in order to strengthen and sustain our distinctive environment, enabling University leaders to meet Ashland’s most pressing needs and respond to new growth opportunities.
Annual financial gifts of $1,000 and over to the Ashland Fund qualify donors for membership in President’s Circle.
And, more importantly, gifts at this level allow us to continue and expand our ability to provide the unique opportunities that can only happen at AU. Give to the Ashland Fund today and ensure our legacy of excellence continues.
Student Scholarship
Student Scholarship
One gift makes an education possible. Every Eagle can trace a life of success and service back to one place, one moment when everything clicked, and we knew what we were meant to do. We know it as a calling. And every one of us starts on that path here at Ashland.
But for many, it begins before we even step foot on campus. It starts when a deserving student receives a much-needed scholarship. It’s thanks to individuals like you that the gift of an Ashland education is possible.
Thanks to scholarships, our students have the support of peers and professors who help them focus in on their strengths and passions. Our students learn from professionals and scholars who share their knowledge and experience in the classroom, the lab, and other settings. Truly, the support of donors can redefine a student's trajectory.
Annual scholarships provide immediate financial support. A gift of any size to student scholarships throughout the year, can help students continue their college journey. Scholarship recipients can focus on being college students while they're here at Ashland and can fully dedicate themselves to their chosen professions, serving their communities, and caring for their families after graduation.
NAMED ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
Another way to provide a student with scholarship funding is through a named annual scholarship. These gifts qualify for a fund named in recognition of the donor or honoree for the duration of the funding period. Commitments must be four years and can be renewed for an additional four years. The following are examples of annual scholarships.
Type | Minimum Gift Per Year | Total Commitment Over Four Years |
---|---|---|
Annual Presidential Scholarship | $20,000 | $80,000 |
Annual Provost Scholarship | $10,000 | $40,000 |

Student Emergency Fund
Student Emergency Fund
Within our Ashland University community, emergencies happen. Sometimes an emergency can cause a student to question whether they can finish the semester, or even graduate.
Our motto, “Accent on the Individual,” always invites us to serve our students, and this fund is a connection to our students and an opportunity to serve them when they need us most. Students get the support they need— when they need it— and it’s all because of generous people just like you.
You make student success stories possible. And that's what the Student Emergency Fund is really about.
If you need help, reach out. And if you can give, give.
Parent's Fund
Parent's Fund
As a parent of an Ashland student, you have entrusted us with your student’s education, and more than that, their transition from childhood to adulthood. We pride ourselves on the transformation our students undergo here, who they are when they leave Ashland, and the impact they have everywhere they go after this. Thank you for this investment in your student, this institution, and our world.
The Parent’s Fund is one way you can show you believe in Ashland and the impact of the experience your student is having here. A financial gift from you enables University leadership to act decisively and in the best interest of our students, faculty, and staff.
Annual financial gifts of $1,000 and over to the Parent's Fund qualify donors for membership in President’s Circle.

Are you already making annual gifts of support? Consider adding a deferred gift to your current gifts of cash or property this year. Current gifts benefit our students and programs today and deferred gifts help our students and programs in the future. Deferred gifts can be revocable (you can change your mind) or irrevocable. Careful planning can maximize your giving potential, optimize tax benefits, and even provide income to you.
