I love the culture that’s fostered here. As a leadership studies doctoral candidate, the one-on-one time with professors is really beneficial. When I was choosing my thesis topic, I met with a group of professors to talk about the direction I should take. That meeting changed my entire life, my whole perspective. They said that a doctoral thesis should be close to your heart, something you know about but also really care about. We went through a series of self-discovery exercises, examining where I was at the time, where I wanted to be, and the experience changed my whole perspective. That interaction with my professors put my life on a new trajectory.
