I had always wanted to be a teacher and knew Ashland had a great education program. I liked music and joined the marching band my freshman year. All my band friends were in University Choir, so I tried out and made it after my first semester. The first day of choir my sophomore year got very interesting when a very tall, very quiet freshman walked in and sat with his friend in the bass section. Ten years later we are both graduated, married and happily raising our one-year-old son. “Remember the friends you’ve made here!”
