Ashland was the last school I applied to, and I applied after driving through campus on my way home from another college visit. There was an upcoming First Flight scheduled but it was only for accepted students. I called to find out when I would learn about my application status, and in the span of about 10 minutes, I was accepted over the phone and registered. Right then, I knew Ashland was unlike other schools. Everything about the visit was great – the food, the tour and tour guides, and the people. Even on a cold day, people were saying hello and you could tell how much they enjoyed where they were. I wanted to be part of that. That day, I found out about the Ashbrook Scholar program, and I knew I was going to AU. Ashland gave me a wonderful college experience and I made some, and continued, some of the best friendships of my life. I started working for Ashbrook in 2014, and I’m so grateful to still be working in such a special place. Most importantly, I met my wife, Erin, at Ashland, so AU will always have a large place in my heart.
