David Felts

Alumnus

Class of 1968

I began in the fall of 1962 and I worked my way through college. I was a dishwasher in Jacobs Hall dining room kitchen, a cook and a night manager in the student union. I worked on the railroad, at Myers Tank Plant, Samaritan Hospital, the College Maintenance Department as an electrician’s helper and played in a dance band.

I married Phyllis Ann Welch in 1966 at the Ashland Theological Seminary Chapel, and we have three children and three grandchildren. I’ve had careers in ministry, music, radio, office records management and copier repair. I’m now retired and serve as Chaplain in a local Pennsylvania chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. I’m also running for the organization’s National Chaplain General.

Ashland has prepared me very well to use my gifts and abilities to serve God, my family and my Country.
