I became a student in the Master of Arts in History and Government degree program (MAHG) in the spring of 2015. I grew up in Ohio, about an hour south of Columbus, and I had never ventured into Ashland. This degree program is exactly what I was looking for to assist with not only knowledge related to my teaching job, but also with building relationships with some of my fellow program members. The experience in Washington, DC during the summer of 2016 got me more acquainted with many people in Ashland’s MAHG program. It is one of the most rewarding professional growth experiences in my life, and I am glad to say that I am a proud Ashland graduate. Professors and other people involved in the program provided guidance and support, and I would advise anyone looking for a wonderful graduate school experience to seek out Ashland University as a home for further studies.
