Gene Allen Geaslen

Alumnus

Class of 1966

During an evening accounting class, after working a nine-hour shift at Young’s IGA plus farm chores on Samples Farm where I lived, I was trying hard to stay awake. The professor apparently noticed my struggle and asked how many hours of work and class attendance I had put in that day. After answering him, he told me to lay my head down on my desk and finish my nap so I wouldn’t break my neck and upset the rest of the class. I was glad to comply!
