I came to AU as a freshman early childhood education major, not sure if that was what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. I took an intermediate Spanish class the spring of my first year, where I heard about the AU Costa Rica program. I knew the program would help fulfill my Spanish minor, but I didn’t know the huge impact it would have on my life. I spent four weeks in Costa Rica the summer after my first year, and the experience changed my life! After coming back, I changed my major to Spanish education, feeling right at home. Now I am in my second educational field for Spanish, and I absolutely love it! I am so thankful for the opportunities Ashland University has given me.
