I grew up in Greenwich, so I chose Ashland for both the proximity to home as well as the great middle-grade education program. I’m a diversity scholar, so I was able to work in the office of Military & Veteran Services as a freshman. I stayed on working with that team after that semester, and it was great. Student teaching in the Lexington School District was really fulfilling, as well. I got an amazing amount of experience in the classroom.
