I have very fond memories of my days at AU. I joined the most amazing sisterhood, Phi Mu, and was part of so much more! I had amazing professors who taught incredible lessons I still talk about today. Some of my college buddies became lifelong friends.
But the most significant impact on me was how much my friends, professors and the faculty that I interacted with cared about me beyond the academic realm. My brother tragically passed the summer before my final year at Ashland. The support and condolences I received helped me push through what was one of the toughest times in my life. I am the teacher I am because of the material they taught, but also because of how much they showed the “Accent on (me) the Individual.”
