5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration required. Register for Homecoming 2026 and select the activity “5K & 1 Mile Fun Run” and complete information.
Start off Homecoming with a 5K Fun Run! The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. A $75 AU Campus Store gift code will be awarded to the first male and female to finish the race; $25 AU Campus Store gift code to the second male and female to finish. Official results will not be recorded. Please, no pets.

• 8:15 a.m. – Check-in begins in front of the Rec Center
• 9:30 a.m. Walkers/Runners
• In lieu of an entrance fee, we ask that you bring a canned good to benefit the Ashland County Food Bank
• Can’t make it to campus? A virtual 5K option is available and registration is required.
• Not interested in a 5K? Take advantage of the 1 Mile Eagle Well course instead.

The Rec Center will be open at 8 a.m. to change and shower before and after the race. For questions, call Recreation & Wellness at 419.289.5440.

Band Reunion & Reception
Come back and visit with current band members and alumni and relive those memorable halftime performances. There is also a chance to step back on the field to perform at halftime with current band members!

• 8:00 a.m. – Breakfast in the VIP Room of the Robert Troop Center
• 9 a.m. – Band practice with alumni who are performing at halftime
• 12 p.m. – Form up at Old Abe before marching to the stadium for pregame and halftime performances!

Eagle Scavenger Hunt
9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Learn about the history of the Eagles on campus as you walk around to find the eagles on the list. Pick up your scavenger hunt sheet at Safety Services or the Campus Store located in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center. Return to Safety Services or the AUAA table at 5th Quarter Celebration for a chance to win one of three $50 AU Campus Store gift cards.

Eagle Bingo
9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
As you enjoy Homecoming festivities, see how many squares you can check off your Eagle Bingo card! Stop by Safety Services or the Campus Store to pick up your card, then complete the challenges throughout Homecoming. Return your completed card to Safety Services or at 5th Quarter for a chance to win one of three $50 AU Campus Store gift cards!

Photo Prop Station
Ever wonder what you would like wearing the gear the Eagles wear?! Throw on a helmet and pads or grab some pom-poms and snap a photo. Stations will be set up at Pizza, Pizza, Pizza and inside the stadium during the game!

McB’s Career Closet Ribbon Cutting

Join us in a ribbon-cutting ceremony as we officially open McB’s Career Closet, a new resource providing Ashland University students with access to professional attire for interviews, internships, and career fairs. Named in honor of longtime educator and mentor Margery McBurney, the closet reflects her legacy of helping students feel confident and prepared as they take their next career steps. Come celebrate this exciting addition to campus and see how it will support generations of Eagles to come!

Dauch College of Business and Economics Open House

Stop in and meet the new Dean of the Dauch College of Business and Economics, Derek Yonai, Ph.D., along with other faculty leaders, and learn about what is happening in the college.

Amstutz and Jacobs Residence Hall Tours
10 – 11 a.m. and 2- 3 p.m.
Check out the multimillion-dollar renovations to Amstutz Hall and Jacobs Hall. Tours will be available for both residence halls. All tours will begin from the lobby of each hall at the following times: 10:00 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 10:40 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:20 p.m., and 2:40 p.m.

Pizza Pizza Pizza Fan Fest
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Lawn area between the Student Center and Recreation Center

Bring your family and join us at this free jam-packed tailgate! Ashland pizzerias are going head-to-head to serve your favorite pizza. Along with this variety of pizza, there will be a free photo station with fun props, face painting, kids activities, music by WRDL, give-a-ways and more!

At 12:30, the AU Marching Band will lead us to the football stadium where we will cheer on the Eagles to a Homecoming victory!
